EPISODES
TerraZia - Building Green will cover at least 13 half-hour episodes each consisting of the following three segments:
1. The first segment (3-5-minutes) will feature a celebrity guest-host explaining benefits of sustainable and universal design methods such as Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Indoor Environmental Quality, Materials & Resources, Energy & Atmosphere, and Universal Accessibility. Proposed celebrities include Art Linkletter, Edward Norton, Leonardo Dicaprio, Julie Louise Dreyfus, Bruce Springsteen, Al Gore, Daryl Hannah, Dennis Weaver, Harrison Ford, Joan Woodward, Martin Sheen, Neil Young, Pierce Brosnan, Robert Redford, Steve Martin, Warren Beatty, and many others.
2. The second segment will be lead by producer/architect, Steve Sunderman, as he demonstrates how sustainable and universal design objectives can be achieved by applying proven design concepts and building with appropriate "green" building products. Design concepts include earth-sheltering, solar orientation, passive & active solar collection, thermal-mass-storage, flex-space adaptation, and others. Featured products include efficient thermal & moisture protection, pervious paving, pozzolanic concrete, solar collection, garden roof, grey water collection, waterless toilets, low VOC (off-gassing) finishes & furnishings, concrete wall & roof systems, skylight systems, high-performance appliances & fixtures, movable partitions, and other highly effective products & systems.
3. The third segment (3-5-minutes) will take place on location at the featured products manufacturing facilities to demonstrate product research. development, distribution, costs and future trends. Leading manufacturers of the most advanced & innovative products will be invited to participate as project sponsors. Platinum and Gold Sponsors will be especially featured during these segments.
